Introduction

In line with Saudi Vision 2030 and to enhance transparency and societal participation, the Qassim Principality adopts this Open Data Policy. It sets a regulatory framework to publish public data in accessible, usable formats, adding value and improving government services while enabling researchers and entrepreneurs. This policy aligns with the Digital Government Authority’s national policies.

Open Data Principles

1) Openness by default—unless restricted by privacy, confidentiality, or other valid reasons.

2) Machine-readable open formats (e.g., CSV, XLS, JSON, XML).

3) Timeliness—publish the latest versions regularly, prioritizing time-sensitive datasets.

4) Completeness—include metadata and methodology notes while respecting personal data protection.

5) Non-discrimination—open to everyone without registration or identity checks.

6) Free of charge—datasets are provided at no cost.

Qassim Principality Responsibility

The Qassim Principality disclaims liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of published data. Datasets may change or be removed due to periodic updates, and availability is not guaranteed.

Open Data Reuse Instructions

1) Do not alter or misattribute the source; preserve accuracy and credibility.

2) Do not use data for political, unlawful, or discriminatory/inciting content, or anything violating Saudi regulations.

3) Clearly cite the Qassim Principality as the data source.
