His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, received today, in the presence of His Highness Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Faisal bin Saad, Deputy Governor of the Region, the participants in the 21st International Conference on Digital Business Engineering (ICEBE 2025), organized by Future University in Buraidah under the auspices of the global IEEE organization, with the participation of a select group of scientists, researchers, and experts from around the world. His Highness emphasized that this leading scientific event embodies the great attention given by the wise leadership – may God support them – to supporting the digital transformation and technological innovation, and to establishing the foundations of a knowledge-based economy, in line with the aspirations of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. His Highness the Governor of Qassim Region explained that artificial intelligence has become the cornerstone of developing digital businesses and services, and the essential tool for reshaping the modern market and building the future. He pointed out that the conference, held under the theme "Investing in the Artificial Intelligence Revolution to Shape the Digital Market," represents a global scientific platform that contributes to expanding the horizons of knowledge, enhancing integration between academia and industry, and supporting international efforts towards building a smarter and more sustainable digital economy. He explained that the Qassim region is proud of its significant achievements in digital transformation, where technology has become the primary tool for improving services and enhancing government performance. He noted that the region's emirate achieved second place among all regions in the 2025 digital transformation measurement results, reflecting concerted efforts and institutional work, and embodying the generous support the region receives from the wise leadership in its journey towards technological excellence and sustainable development. For his part, Dr. Mohammed Al-Shtaiwi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, expressed his deep gratitude to His Royal Highness the Prince of Qassim for his constant interest and continuous support of the university's programs. He pointed out that the university is working to prepare the region's young men and women for future opportunities by introducing specialized and high-quality technical programs in artificial intelligence and data engineering, in line with national trends. Dr. Salem Al-Khalaf, a faculty member at Qassim University, explained that the conference received approximately 80 specialized research papers in the fields of artificial intelligence and data management, which were reviewed in preparation for publication in the conference proceedings. The President of Qassim University, Dr. Mohammed Al-Sharikh, highlighted the continuous growth and academic and research excellence achieved in education in the region, emphasizing that conferences like this contribute to supporting development and integration among universities. The Vice President of Future University for Development and Social Responsibility, Dr. Salim Al-Saleem, explained that Saudi universities have made rapid strides in seizing opportunities in artificial intelligence and investing in it to develop research, education, and innovation. He called for enriching the Qassim region with scientific and technological initiatives that contribute to supporting the Kingdom's future directions.
