Prince of Al-Qassim Chairs a Meeting to Discuss the Development Plan for the Permanent National Exhibition

His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Qassim Region, chaired a meeting—attended by His Highness Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Faisal bin Saad, Deputy Governor of the Region—to discuss the development plan for the Permanent National Exhibition. The plan aims to enhance national content and highlight the Kingdom’s value, history, and deep-rooted heritage, as well as the documents, evidence, and exhibits that embody Saudi Arabia’s historical, civilizational, and cultural dimensions. During the meeting, His Royal Highness reviewed a detailed presentation delivered by the Director General of Education in the region, Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al-Furaih, who outlined the main features of the exhibition’s development plan and its new identity inspired by the Saudi Architecture Map, reflecting cultural diversity and historical depth. The presentation also covered upgrading exhibition halls and modernizing interactive display methods, contributing to a rich educational experience for visitors of all ages and backgrounds. His Royal Highness emphasized the importance of ensuring the exhibition serves as an awareness and educational platform showcasing the Kingdom’s history and journey in the region, and as a cultural pillar that strengthens national belonging and connects generations to their country’s heritage. He stressed the need to focus on content quality, presentation standards, and integrated coordination among relevant entities to achieve the desired objectives. At the conclusion of the meeting, His Royal Highness directed continued efforts to complete the development plan according to best practices, in a manner that reflects the Kingdom’s historical and civilizational standing and further reinforces the exhibition’s role as a permanent national and cultural destination.
