Governor of Al-Qassim Launches “White Fund” Campaign and Reviews the Efforts of the “Tarahum” Committee in the Region

His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Qassim Region, received in his office at the Emirate today the Director of Prisons in the region, Brigadier Khater Al-Zahrani, and the Chairman of the Board of the Subcommittee of the National Committee for the Care of Prisoners, Released Prisoners, and Their Families (Tarahum) in the region, Rashid Al-Rashed. During the meeting, His Royal Highness launched the National Committee’s campaign titled (White Fund)” and was briefed on its objectives, which focus on economically, socially, and psychologically empowering prisoners, released individuals, and their families through a comprehensive package of integrated rehabilitation programs. The campaign also aims to promote the culture of developmental charitable endowments and achieve financial sustainability to support care and rehabilitation programs, in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 for sustainable development. The Governor of Al-Qassim Region affirmed that the qualitative programs provided by the “Tarahum” Committee reflect its important humanitarian and social role in caring for prisoners, released individuals, and their families, and in enabling their positive reintegration into society. He emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among relevant entities to support this group and strengthen initiatives that contribute to family and social stability, while reinforcing the values of social solidarity. His Royal Highness also reviewed the committee’s annual report, which highlighted its key efforts and implemented programs. Total expenditures reached 1.9 million riyals, in addition to the implementation of several programs, initiatives, and training courses aimed at rehabilitation and empowerment, contributing to achieving a sustainable positive impact for beneficiaries.
