His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Qassim Region, sponsored the signing of a cooperation agreement at his office in the Emirate headquarters between the regional branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture and Gharas Holding Company. The agreement aims to support environmental efforts and enhance the development of vegetation cover in the region. His Royal Highness, the Governor of Al-Qassim Region, welcomed the signing of the agreement, emphasizing the importance of integrating efforts between government entities and the private sector to achieve the goals of environmental initiatives. He also highlighted the importance of strengthening national efforts aimed at developing vegetation cover and achieving environmental sustainability, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative. The agreement was signed on behalf of the regional branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture by Eng. Salman Al-Suwain, Director General of the branch, while Mohammed Al-Shammari represented Gharas Holding Company. Eng. Salman Al-Suwain explained that this agreement comes as part of supporting the “Green Qassim Land” initiative, noting that the initiative aims to plant 15 million seedlings across the region’s cities and governorates. This effort will contribute to developing vegetation cover, improving the environmental landscape, and enhancing the participation of the private sector and various entities in afforestation programs, in order to achieve the goals of national environmental initiatives.
