Prince of Al-Qassim Visits Cultural Salons in Shopping Malls, Praises Their Role in Promoting a Reading Culture

His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Qassim Region, visited several cultural salons established within shopping malls in the city of Buraidah. These salons aim to revive the culture of reading, promote interest in books, and enhance cultural and national values among various segments of society. This initiative aligns with His Highness's commitment to achieving the goals of the "Reading is Food for the Mind" initiative. During the visit, His Highness reviewed the distinctive initiatives and reading and cultural events hosted by these salons, which are designed to engage all community segments and contribute to raising awareness and fostering national consciousness. He praised the efforts of those behind these cultural initiatives, particularly the Ahmad Al-Muhaysini Holding Group and the Book Club Initiative, and commended their significant contributions to spreading culture and encouraging public interest in reading and literature. His Highness emphasized that such initiatives align with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which aims to build a knowledge-based society and raise cultural awareness. He noted that activating cultural activities in public spaces helps reach diverse audiences and strengthens their connection to culture and national identity. He also called for the support and expansion of such initiatives across the region’s governorates due to their tangible impact in instilling knowledge-based values and enriching cultural appreciation.
