His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, today inaugurated the National Crowd Management Forum, organized by the Qassim Region Governorate in cooperation with Qassim University. The forum was held at the King Abdulaziz Conference Center at the university, with the participation of several relevant agencies and ministries. His Highness toured the accompanying exhibition, which showcased the efforts of participating entities in crowd management and the solutions and technologies they offer to enhance organizational efficiency and safety levels. His Highness also attended the opening ceremony, which included a visual presentation highlighting key experiences and best practices in this field. In his address, His Highness the Governor of Qassim Region emphasized that this forum embodies the Kingdom's commitment to developing and improving the efficiency of its crowd management system, in line with its comprehensive development and its ongoing hosting of major events. He pointed out that the forum stems from the wise leadership's keen interest in everything that enhances human safety and achieves the highest quality standards in crowd management and organization, building on the Kingdom's world-leading expertise, particularly during the Hajj and Umrah seasons, which have become an international model. His Highness emphasized that the Qassim Region Governorate was committed to holding this forum, believing in the importance of this vital field and the necessity of exchanging expertise and showcasing best practices. This contributes to improving performance, raising the level of preparedness, and strengthening integration among governmental, service, and security agencies. He explained that crowd management has become an advanced science that relies on strategic planning, precise analysis, and the use of modern technologies and smart systems. This contributes to achieving smooth flow, reducing risks, and increasing response efficiency. He noted that the forum represents an important national platform for unifying efforts, building partnerships, and developing national competencies, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which has made quality of life and community safety a top priority. In closing, His Highness expressed his pride in the Qassim region hosting such high-caliber events, noting that the success of the forum depends – after God's grace – on the recommendations it will produce, which will contribute to developing the crowd management system in the Kingdom. He also thanked the organizing team and Qassim University for hosting the forum. For his part, the President of Qassim University, Dr. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sharikh, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Royal Highness the Prince of Qassim for his continuous support of the university's activities and his patronage of this forum, which comes within the framework of partnership and integration between the region's emirate and the university in various fields. He added that these partnerships contribute to supporting development paths in the region, noting that the Kingdom's crowd management system is distinguished, as evidenced in major events such as Hajj, sporting events, and cultural events, in accordance with the best international practices in safety and organization. The organization of this forum comes as an extension of the efforts of the Qassim region's emirate, in cooperation with the university.
