His Royal Highness the Prince of Qassim Region sponsors the launch of the Qassim Conference for Cancer Awareness

His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, inaugurated the Qassim Cancer Awareness Conference, organized by the Balsam Association for Cancer Patient Support in Qassim, under the slogan “For an Aware and Cancer-Fighting Society.” The event was attended by His Highness Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Faisal bin Saad, Deputy Governor of Qassim Region, and Her Royal Highness Princess Haifa Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, with the participation of experts, specialists, and those interested in health and awareness fields, at the King Khalid Cultural Center in Buraidah. Upon his arrival, His Highness toured the accompanying exhibition, which included various awareness and health booths, as well as workshops and educational programs offered to attendees and visitors. These initiatives aimed to raise awareness about the importance of prevention and early detection and to promote a culture of health regarding cancer. His Royal Highness the Prince of Qassim inaugurated the conference, emphasizing that such conferences represent an important humanitarian and health message that contributes to raising community awareness and promoting prevention. He pointed out that awareness and early detection are among the most important elements in combating cancer and reducing its health and social impacts. His Highness affirmed that the attention and support given by the wise leadership – may God support them – to the health sector has contributed to the development of health and preventive services, raising the quality of care provided to beneficiaries, and supporting community and awareness initiatives that enhance quality of life. His Royal Highness the Prince of Qassim also noted the importance of integrating efforts between health authorities, specialized associations, and various sectors to spread health awareness, support patients and their families, and strengthen preventive and awareness programs that contribute to building a more informed and healthier society. His Highness also attended the ceremony held on this occasion, which included a speech by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Balsam Association for Cancer Patient Support. In his speech, the Chairman expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Highness the Prince of Qassim for his patronage and continuous support of the association's programs and its humanitarian and awareness initiatives, emphasizing that this patronage serves as an incentive to continue working to serve patients and enhance community awareness. The conference is part of the association's efforts to provide awareness and health programs and strengthen community and medical partnerships, all of which contribute to supporting cancer patients and promoting a culture of prevention and early detection.
