His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, sponsored the signing of an agreement between the Qassim Region Municipality and Al-Raim International Company to establish the Wadi Al-Rummah Information Center in Buraidah. This took place during His Highness's meeting with the Mayor of Qassim Region, Engineer Mohammed Al-Majali, accompanied by the CEO of Al-Raim International Company, Mr. Abdulmohsen Al-Mutawa. His Highness reviewed the center's designs, components, and objectives, including the information, documents, studies, and archival works it will house related to Wadi Al-Rummah. The center will serve as a scientific and educational resource for researchers and those interested in the subject, and a platform to highlight the historical, geographical, and environmental significance of the valley. His Highness the Governor of Qassim Region commended the signing of the agreement, emphasizing the importance of the project in preserving and documenting information related to Wadi Al-Rummah and making it available to researchers and those interested in the subject, thus enhancing the valley's status as one of the most prominent natural and historical landmarks in the Kingdom. His Highness said: “We thank God for the completion of the designs for the Wadi Al-Rummah Information Center, which will serve as a scientific reference and landmark, preserving historical and geographical information about Wadi Al-Rummah, and becoming a tourist destination for the region.” His Highness, the Prince of Qassim, pointed out that establishing such a project represents an important step in preserving and documenting the history of Wadi Al-Rummah, explaining that it is the largest and longest valley in the Kingdom and holds great scientific, geographical, and historical value. His Highness added: “Establishing such a project preserves the history of the largest and longest valley in the Kingdom (Wadi Al-Rummah), documenting its origins in the Tihama Mountains in the west and its course to the east of the Kingdom. It will be a documentation center and a scientific destination for geologists and those studying the natural terrain through which Wadi Al-Rummah passes and its paths.” His Highness said: “I commend the efforts of my colleague, the Secretary of the Region, Engineer Muhammad Al-Majali, who gave this center his full attention. I also thank Al-Ra’im Company and the prominent businessman Abdullah Al-Mutawa for implementing and sponsoring this distinguished project to document the history and information of Wadi Al-Rummah.” His Highness emphasized that the center will contribute to enhancing scientific knowledge about Wadi Al-Rummah, enriching related research content, and highlighting its status as one of the most important natural landmarks in the Kingdom, thus serving researchers, students, and visitors, and strengthening the valley's presence as a scientific, tourist, and cultural destination. For his part, the Secretary of the Qassim Region, Engineer Mohammed Al-Majali, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Highness the Prince of the region for his continuous support of developmental and knowledge-based projects, affirming that the center will constitute a valuable addition to the region.
