His Royal Highness the Prince of Qassim witnessed a review of the achievements of the Artificial Intelligence Chair in Qassim and emphasized the importance of investing in national heritage.

His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, attended the presentation of the programs and achievements of the Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Chair for Artificial Intelligence at Qassim University, in the presence of His Highness Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Faisal bin Saad, Deputy Governor of Qassim Region, and His Excellency Dr. Khalid Al-Battal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior. This presentation took place during the Sixth Forum for Development Initiatives and Experiences. His Royal Highness the Governor of Qassim Region emphasized that artificial intelligence has become a fundamental pillar for building the future. He pointed out that the Kingdom, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince – may God protect them – is rapidly advancing towards global leadership in this field by supporting scientific research, empowering national talent, and developing innovative technological solutions. His Highness stated, “We are proud of the scientific and research achievements of the Chair for Artificial Intelligence at Qassim University. It is a national model that combines research, innovation, talent development, and partnership building. It contributes to finding technological solutions that serve society, support the knowledge economy, and enhance the Kingdom’s position in future technologies.” For his part, Dr. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sharikh, President of Qassim University, reviewed the Chair's most prominent programs, explaining that it was established in 2021 with the aim of promoting innovation, localizing technologies, supporting digital transformation, and building a leading scientific environment in artificial intelligence research. He clarified that the Chair has achieved more than 25 international research partnerships and 22 local research partnerships, published scientific outputs that have garnered more than 345 scientific citations, and conducted 17 scientific meetings that benefited more than 2,200 participants. In addition, it launched specialized training camps, established partnerships with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, and launched the Digital Trust Enhancement Initiative, which aims to develop national tools to combat digital forgery, raise awareness, and train national talent in this field.
