Al-Qassim Region Governor Chairs Development Balance Program Meeting to Review Competitive Advantages of the Region’s Cities, Governorates, and Centers. His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Qassim Region, chaired a meeting of the Development Balance Program, attended by various officials and relevant entities. During the meeting, His Highness reviewed the program's latest updates, including the tracks and initiatives aimed at supporting balanced development across the region's cities, governorates, and centers. The program seeks to maximize the utilization of assets and opportunities available in each location, aligning them with their specific competitive advantages and developmental needs. The Governor emphasized the program's importance in directing development based on the specific requirements of each city, governorate, and center, and in leveraging the unique competitive advantages of each location. This approach fosters integration across the region and enhances the efficiency of development projects and initiatives. His Highness noted Al-Qassim’s diverse assets in the agricultural, industrial, tourism, and service sectors, as well as the unique characteristics and opportunities possessed by its governorates and centers. He stressed the importance of building upon these advantages and transforming them into projects and programs that deliver direct economic and social impact. He also highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts between government agencies and the private sector, as well as the need to set development priorities based on clear indicators. Such measures support quality of life, boost investment opportunities, and contribute to achieving balanced, comprehensive development across the region. Furthermore, the meeting addressed topics related to the program's tracks, proposed development opportunities, and mechanisms for monitoring initiative implementation and measuring impact, all in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
