His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Qassim Region, in the presence of His Highness Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Faisal bin Saad, Deputy Governor of the Region, received Dr. Raed bin Abdullah Al-Kharashi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Rights, and participants in the annual meeting of the Assistant Undersecretaries of the Regional Emirates for Rights, at the Emirate headquarters in Buraidah. During the reception, His Royal Highness the Emir of Al-Qassim Region noted the Ministry of Interior's significant focus on the field of rights and their preservation, and the complementary efforts undertaken by the regional emirates with the Ministry to enhance this vital aspect, achieving justice and preserving the rights of citizens and residents. He emphasized that such meetings contribute to the development of human rights work and the exchange of expertise and experiences among the regional emirates, which increases performance efficiency and enhances the quality of services provided. He also noted the support and care the regional emirates receive from the wise leadership - may God support them - in various fields. His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Qassim Region, accompanied by His Highness Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Faisal bin Saad, Deputy Governor of the Region, today visited the Shutfa Rural Resort in Al-Badayea Governorate, one of the region's rural tourism projects. During the tour, His Highness was briefed on the resort's facilities and its readiness to receive visitors, which contributes to highlighting the region's rural identity and authentic heritage. His Highness the Governor of Al-Qassim Region also visited the corner dedicated to his initiative "Reading is Food for the Mind," which the resort hosts to promote a culture of reading among its visitors in an integrated tourism and cultural environment. His Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal praised the fact that such rural tourism projects represent an added value to the region, pointing out the importance of encouraging young people and investors to venture into tourism investment, which will contribute to creating new job opportunities for the region's residents and activating tourist destinations in various governorates, in line with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. The Buraidah Date Carnival, organized by the National Center for Palms and Dates, the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, and under the supervision of the Emirate of Qassim Region, kicked off today in the City of Dates in Buraidah. The event will continue until October 9. Farmers and traders will showcase more than 100 varieties of Qassim dates, including Sukkari, Barhi, and Saqai. The carnival includes various activities and events, including processing industries, productive families, palm-related handicrafts, heritage and poetry evenings, and the participation of folk groups. It also features a children's and drawing area, in addition to numerous events targeting various segments of society. It is worth noting that sales volume at the last edition of the Buraidah Date Carnival amounted to approximately 3.2 billion riyals, with an average of 2,000 vehicles transporting dates daily. Last year, the number of visitors to the carnival exceeded 800,000.

His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, honored the distinguished security personnel from the Civil Defense Directorate in the region during the 1446 AH Hajj season at the Emirate's reception hall. The ceremony was attended by the Director of Civil Defense in the region, Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Anzi. His Royal Highness the Governor of Qassim Region praised the humanitarian efforts and distinguished field work provided by the Civil Defense personnel, which contributed to ensuring safety and serving the Guests of God. His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, today inaugurated the Control and Surveillance Center at Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Qassim. The center was inaugurated in the presence of His Excellency Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), and a number of officials from the region. His Royal Highness the Governor of Qassim Region reviewed the readiness of the center, which is one of the pillars of the National Integrated Airport Security and Protection Project, a project aimed at developing aviation security and airport security infrastructure. This project includes the construction and upgrading of control and surveillance centers at all airports with the latest electronically interconnected security systems. This will provide operational and security services that contribute to taking the right steps to manage incidents, issue warnings, and disseminate information in a short period of time. The center is distinguished by its rapid transmission of reports to all relevant operational and security agencies, ensuring that appropriate measures are taken to manage incidents and issue warnings in a short period of time. His Highness emphasized that the advanced equipment and electronically interconnected systems he saw reflect the commitment of the relevant authorities to adopting the highest technical and operational standards, ensuring rapid response, accurate decision-making, and the protection of lives and assets. It is worth noting that the Integrated National Project for Airport Security and Protection is one of the most important comprehensive security projects at the level of the Kingdom's airports, encompassing 24 airports with the aim of providing them with the latest electronically integrated security systems. The project includes the rehabilitation and development of infrastructure, the establishment of security operations and control centers in all airports, the establishment, rehabilitation and equipping of security gates leading to the apron and guard rooms, the installation of entry and exit control systems and surveillance cameras for the security gates and a ground surveillance radar system for the airport perimeter with thermal and digital cameras, in addition to tracking vehicles within the airport apron, the rehabilitation of the surrounding security fence and the parallel patrol road, the implementation of a separate infrastructure for security systems, in addition to the rehabilitation and training of human cadres to operate and manage these facilities with the highest efficiency.

The Qassim Region is preparing to launch the Buraidah Dates Carnival in early August. This annual event is considered one of the region's most prominent agricultural, economic, and tourism events. The 60-day event will take place in the city of dates in Buraidah. The carnival is organized by the National Center for Palms and Dates and the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, under the supervision of the Qassim Region Emirate. It will enhance the region's position in the agricultural sector and date marketing, in light of the city's well-prepared facilities, including agricultural, heritage, tourism, and entertainment sites. This will provide a comprehensive experience for visitors from within and outside the Kingdom. This supports the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to develop the agricultural sector, enhance food security, and increase local content.

His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, received in his office today the Governor of Unaizah, Saad Al-Saleem, accompanied by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association for the Care of Mosques in Unaizah Governorate, Dr. Abdul Mohsen Al-Qadi, and in the presence of the Director General of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance branch in the region, Dr. Abdullah Al-Juwaibri. His Highness received the final report for the first and second phases of the "Our Mosques: Worship and Cleanliness" campaign, implemented by the association in partnership with several entities. The campaign targeted the cleaning and maintenance of 300 mosques in the region, with the participation of 120 male and female volunteers. His Highness the Governor of Qassim Region praised the field and community efforts included in the report, emphasizing the importance of the initiative in promoting the value of caring for the houses of God and raising community awareness of the importance of cleanliness and maintaining mosques. He also commended the role played by the Association for the Care of Mosques in Unaizah Governorate and the positive impact it has achieved through its integrated work with government agencies and volunteers to serve the houses of God.
