His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, chaired a meeting of the Qassim Technical Association, attended by its members, to review the latest developments in its work and initiatives aimed at building a digitally literate society and empowering national talent in the technical fields, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. The meeting reviewed the most prominent initiatives implemented by the Association in cooperation with the Qassim Technical Society, which include four main projects: AI-powered productivity programs to enable various segments of society to benefit from AI applications; expanding brand reach using AI to support businesses and entrepreneurs in their digital growth; the Tech Club for Children to prepare a generation equipped with technical skills; and the RETECH project, which aims to refurbish unused electronic devices and repurpose them for community service. His Royal Highness the Prince of Qassim emphasized the importance of activating technological programs and leveraging the opportunities presented by the Year of Artificial Intelligence to develop impactful initiatives, empower national talent, and enhance innovation and productivity. His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, and His Highness Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Faisal bin Saad, Deputy Governor of the Region, oversaw the signing of several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at training, employing, and empowering 8,500 Saudi nationals, both men and women. This initiative reflects the integrated efforts of the public and private sectors to invest in human capital and bolster the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in developing national capabilities, enhancing labor market efficiency, and increasing the participation of Saudi talent across various sectors. His Highness commended the signing of the MoU between the Qassim branch of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and the company "Atmal," which aims to provide 3,000 job opportunities. He also praised the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF), targeting 5,500 individuals through the activation of an integrated system of support and training programs. These programs include job matching via the "Jadarat" platform, the empowerment program, on-the-job training programs, and e-learning (Doroob), thereby enhancing the readiness of Saudi nationals and supporting their sustainability in the labor market. The Governor of Qassim praised the role of the "Atmal" company in investing in national talent and its efforts in providing job opportunities and training and empowering Saudi men and women. He emphasized that partnership between the public and private sectors is a fundamental pillar for achieving development, and that national companies that believe in the capabilities of Saudi youth and contribute to building human capital deserve all appreciation. He said: “The results we are witnessing today are not a product of the moment, but rather the fruit of a journey that began sixteen years ago when the Localization Coordination Committee was launched. This later evolved into the Qassim Region Localization Program, which operated according to a clear vision and effective partnerships with various entities, until the region became a model to be emulated in this field.” His Highness added: “Among the first initiatives adopted by the region was the project to localize shopping malls, which was the first experiment of its kind in the Kingdom. He clarified that the statistical report reflects the region's excellence in localization programs, the decrease in the unemployment rate to 5.9% during the first quarter of 2026, the increase in women's participation in the labor market, the growth of private sector establishments, and the increase in the number of Saudi employees, reflecting the positive impact of the development programs adopted. Mohammed Al-Nahabi, Director of the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF), affirmed that the directives of His Highness the Prince of Qassim have had a direct impact on supporting, employing, and empowering the region's job-seeking sons and daughters. He noted the developmental momentum the region is witnessing and the success in reaching a wide range of job opportunities. He reviewed the programs offered by the Fund in the areas of training, qualification, and job support, which ensure raising the readiness of national talent and enhancing its sustainability in the labor market. This presentation took place during the Sixth Forum for Development Initiatives and Experiences. His Royal Highness the Governor of Qassim Region emphasized that artificial intelligence has become a fundamental pillar for building the future. He pointed out that the Kingdom, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince – may God protect them – is rapidly advancing towards global leadership in this field by supporting scientific research, empowering national talent, and developing innovative technological solutions. His Highness stated, “We are proud of the scientific and research achievements of the Chair for Artificial Intelligence at Qassim University. He clarified that the Chair has achieved more than 25 international research partnerships and 22 local research partnerships, published scientific outputs that have garnered more than 345 scientific citations, and conducted 17 scientific meetings that benefited more than 2,200 participants. His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, received the Executive Director of the Saudi Charitable Association for Liver Patients (Kabdak), Mutlaq Al-Khamali, accompanied by the association's team. His Highness received the association's annual report on activities and programs for 2025. His Highness reviewed the report's contents, which detailed the association's achievements, programs, and services provided to beneficiaries. The report stated that 196,000 individuals benefited from the association's services, with 1,115 volunteers participating in its programs. Additionally, 364 individuals benefited from the association's care programs, and the association facilitated nine liver transplant surgeries and provided medication for 68 patients. His Highness praised the association's humanitarian role and the high-quality services it provides to liver patients, emphasizing that specialized charitable work is a vital support to the healthcare sector and embodies the values of solidarity and social responsibility.
